Spreading Awareness about Buzzfeed

Before I begin, please know that I am not a journalist, I am only covering this because as an artist and the creator of a beloved guitar bun, this hits too close to home and I want to spread awareness

So after Buzzfeed tried to enforce AI on Chikn Nuggit, Kyra Kupetsky, decided that they wanted nothing to do with Buzzfeed and boycotted.

Everyone who is a fan of Chikn Nuggit, was obviously outraged, and eventually Buzzfeed vowed not to use AI on any of Chikn Nuggits episodes

Unfortunately, this was not the end of it because Buzzfeed deicded to feed another show's character to AI without the creator's Knowledge. I'll let this screenshot speak for itself as it's taken from Loryn Brantz's Instagram.

This alone exposes the predetory behavior used against artists, animators, and creators alike. Upon hearing about this, I was disgusted and all I could do was relate being an artist myself. It's sad that we live in a time like this and my only hope if that people can come together to fight against the machine.

Ama 37: Making Webcomics

Okay so apologies for the wait to reply to this because I have quite a bit to say but before I start I wanna thank Acewindrider because he was the one who stepped up to help me with Divine Acid. So if it weren't for him I would not be able to answer this.

Okay so the first thing I wish I knew when I started doing web comics, was to make a story Bible or pitch Bible. the pitch Bible sets the foundation of which your comic is built on. a story Bible can include things like, who the characters are, the lore, story arcs, etc etc. It all helps in my opinion. it doesn't need to be super long but enough so that it helps you reference how the world in your comic works

The second thing I wish I knew before I made a webcomic, is scripting, writing, and storyboarding. I know this sounds obvios but I did not do any scripting, writing, or storyboarding when it came to making my webcomics.I just dove right in and to be honest, it's probably why I had THREE failed attempts.

The next thing is to decide how you want your comic to end. Hear me out because I know there are some people who are like "but I want my comic to go on forever!" and that's fine too that was my initial attitude. However, life is not set in stone and time is forever changing. Sometimes things happen that you can not control. So by by deciding an ending you're making it easy on yourself to know how you want to end the story if something in your life ever happens. Could be anything really. So I feel this is more of a "just in case" situation. you can literally fit everything else in between.

The other thing is, do not post on Webtoons or tapas or any similar comic hosting sites. Stay Independent. Stay you. Webtoons and Tapas are too corporate imo and I just don't trust them like at all. I host my comic on Comic Fury and Newgrounds

Anyway, that's all I have for now! Hope you found this helpful!
